Meet your driver
I was born in the picturesque town of Clyde, nestled in Central Otago, where my parents dedicated their careers to teaching. At the age of three, my family moved to Otakou, a quiet settlement on the Otago Peninsula, where my father became the sole teacher at the local school. Our home, the school, and the nearby Māori Marae were all on the same land, offering my family a deeply enriching cultural experience. The majority of the children attending the school were Māori, which shaped my early years with a unique and invaluable perspective.
After high school, I started my professional journey as a Junior Storeman in Dunedin. Four years later, I earned a promotion to South Island Sales Representative, which involved extensive travel throughout the South Island. This role also sparked my career’s international aspect, as I began traveling to Asia and other destinations for work. In 1992, my young family and I relocated to Christchurch, where I continued working with the same company.
These experiences not only deepened my appreciation for the South Island's breathtaking landscapes but also gave me a strong sense of connection to the region. Now, as a Chauffeur, I am eager to share the unparalleled beauty of this part of New Zealand with you, drawing on my years of travel and firsthand knowledge of its incredible sights.
